Job Title: School Crossing Guard
Location: Central Elementary School
Hours: Monday–Friday, school days only (Before and After School Hours)
Pay: Wamego School Crossing Guards earn $11.81 per hour.
About the Role:
Are you someone who enjoys helping others and making a difference in your community? Join our team as a School Crossing Guard and play an essential role in Keeping Kids Safe as they travel to and from school. This is a great opportunity for retirees, stay-at-home parents, or anyone looking to contribute positively to their neighborhood. Hours: Monday-Friday for 45 min. Morning hours:7:15am-8:00am and Afternoon hours: 3:00-3:45pm. This is at the corner of 8th an Poplar.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely guide pedestrians across designated intersections or crosswalks.
- Monitor traffic flow to ensure safety for all pedestrians.
- Remain alert and observant to ensure student safety at all times.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school personnel.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to safety.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Strong communication and observation skills.
